Elizabeth Racheva is in her sixth season at Washington Performing Arts, where she serves as Chief Advancement Officer, leading the organization’s fundraising efforts and providing key partnerships in defining and implementing WPA’s organizational strategy and governance. She brings to her role 15+ years of experience in integrating fundraising priorities with strategic planning, governance, communications, marketing, and digital invention. Previously she helped lead teams at the Curtis Institute of Music, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and Southern Methodist University to succeed in comprehensive capital campaigns. An active speaker, Elizabeth has presented on WPA’s innovations in virtual event production for the Chronicle of Philanthropy, Capacity Interactive, and the Association of Donor Relations Professionals, alongside guest lecturing for AU’s arts management program. Elizabeth is an alumna of Emory University, Peabody Conservatory, and Austria’s Franz Schubert Institut, and she has nurtured a parallel career as a classical/crossover soprano for 20+ years.
