Freelance Photographer
Known for "capturing the essence of the artist," Lauren Salazar is an up-and-coming theatrical photographer within the opera theatre community across the United States. Her credits include the University of North Texas College of Music, Baylor Opera Theatre, Music On Site Inc., Brevard Music Center, and the Butler Opera Center. However, her devout love of the arts extends past the lens. An arts administrator and performer herself, Ms. Salazar is a current Master student at UNT studying voice performance and is the Annual Giving and Event Production Graduate Assistant for the College of Music. An avid artist during the 2021-2022 season, she performed as Amahl (Amahl and the Night Visitors) with Music on Site, participated as part of the Trio (Trouble in Tahiti) and Lucia (The Rape of Lucretia), both with the University of North Texas Opera Theatre. Lauren was recently seen this past summer as part of the Regional Summer Stock Company, TEXAS Outdoor Musical, as chorus and Eula (TEXAS Outdoor Musical), as well as Gianetta in their production of The Gondoliers. She holds a B.M in Voice Performance and B.S in Public Relations from The University of Texas at Austin, as well as a M.S in Hospitality Management from UNT.
