Marquis Xavier McBride

Tenor Marquis Xavier McBride is a fourth-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Choral Music Education. Marquis has been a three-year member of A Cappella Choir under the baton of Dr. Allen Hightower, as well as Vox Aquilae in collaboration with UNT Baroque Orchestra with Professor Paul Leenhouts, director. Marquis placed first in his division at both the TEXOMA NATS and DFW NATS Conferences and among his solo performances, most notable was his performance as Candide in the UNT Opera scenes program. He was elected to the Dean's Advisory Council for the Division of Vocal Studies, served as Music Director for Theatreworks in McKinney, and has studied voice with Professor Carol Wilson's since he matriculated in 2020.
