Susan Hanlon Ferrer maintains a thriving vocal studio in North Dallas specializing in commercial music. In addition to vocal instruction, Susan assists clients with artist development strategies and recording session coachings. As a vocal technician, she guides clients to find the most sustainable way to achieve the sounds they need for stage and studio. Part cheerleader, part Sherlock Holmes, Susan loves helping singers accomplish their goals and solve their vocal mysteries. She believes that every singer deserves to be appreciated for who they are and what they bring to the art form, and through her teaching studio, she strives to create a space of belonging for all voices.
Susan earned her M.A. in Voice at The University of North Texas. Her graduate studies centered around vocal pedagogy and commercial vocal techniques. She frequently works as an adjudicator and clinician and has released two jazz albums under the Armored Records Label. She is a current member of PAVA, ASCAP, TMEA, Jazz Education Network and NATS.
